"Chrome Plastic Scratches, Possible to Repair?"

2005

I take a plastic slice that is "chrome plated." Unfortunately, it has scratches in the chrome which show the black plastic beneath information technology.

Is there any style to repair the scratches or embrace them upwardly?

Thanks.

A perfect repair is probably non possible, only it would help a great deal to know what the "piece" is because it might give a hint most what the construction is (type of plastic, existent chrome plating vs. vacuum metallizing, etc.) and will probably betoken the exposure conditions it needs to stand upward to. "Chrome" nail smoothen is probably the nigh attainable and to the lowest degree expensive repair, but would only exist satisfactory for very benign exposure and if the polish doesn't degrade the plastic. Beyond that at that place is spray paint in chrome color like Bumper Chrome Pigment [affil. link to info/product on Amazon], and several more exotic solutions.
